ORC Spring 2018 Week 4: Modern Bedroom Progress

It's week four of the One Room Challenge and the dust has just settled enough for us to see some visual progress before it gets all disorganized and messy again.

So after much sourcing, measurements, and debate, it looks like the DIY feature wall over the bed may not happen before week six. It's not happening because we might have a contractor come out and build an actual closet in the room this summer and we didn't want to build something that would have to get ripped apart and redone so soon. I leave you with one of the inspiration photos for the wall. I'm so sad, I had big plans for this wall.

Most surfaces that needed paint have been painted, and this is so cliche, but paint can really transform a room. There are so many other decisions that have yet to be finalized, but we're much further than we were last week, any progress is good. We also picked up some succulents, bedding and a few fun decor items. The list of things to get and do goes on and on, but I won't bore you with it.

This coming weekend we'll be focusing on putting together the larger pieces of furniture and hopefully make a decision on the book storage solution so we can either build it or buy it.

I know this was a rather quick check-in but thank you for visiting anyway. Check back next week as we approach the final weeks and countdown to the reveal!
